Santikos Military Drive - Santikos Mayan Palace was originally built in 1968 and has undergone several renovations. Recent renovations have provided the theater with a full-service bar, reclining seating, a spacious lobby and a fully equipped kitchen. The only place for Santikos is in the south and they confirm that is the only support. Santikos is a social enterprise that directly benefits the local community.

After passing through the huge lobby, two seating areas are located next to the ballroom for easy hire. The kids turned this place into paradise. But don't worry! The adults did not forget. Wait until you see the bar.

When you go to the movies, the big menu is a staple, Santikos said. They have a full kitchen, mini donuts, a funnel, and even Dr. Pepper flavored marshmallows.

Their kitchen allows you to make pizza and other bar snacks. The staff at Santikos sent me upstairs and downstairs. Downs is the level at which all patrons enter the theater and are served. Upstairs is where the screening room is and they have big stuff like popcorn kernels for everyone! Unfortunately, the movies I've seen are now considered "vintage". Projectors have everything that uses digital media. Not only does the seat recline, but it's also super comfortable, as you can see in the photo below. The theater is surrounded by state-of-the-art speakers. The highlight of the trip was the Chamoy mango pearls. It's one of the many options they offer at the fun, colorful Mayan Bar. I guess you could call this an adult party place.

Santikos is no ordinary theater. They are on a mission! Money earned by Santikos Entertainment goes back to the community and helps fund over 200 local nonprofits. In 2017 alone, Santikos Entertainment returned $26 million to the community through the San Antonio Area Foundation.
